USW District 3 will be conducting “Lobby Days” at the Manitoba Legislature in Winnipeg in March. Local unions are asked to save the date and recruit members to attend the lobby. We would like to have a Steelworker delegation of approximately 20 members. Local unions are responsible for all costs of sending members to the Manitoba Lobby Days.

Our lobby days will consist of classroom training to prepare members to meet with Ministers and MLAs to discuss important issues that impact the livelihoods of our members and workers in the province. Members will have the opportunity to visit the Manitoba Legislative Building and there will be a reception with MLAs and other government officials.

The dates are Tues. March 14 and Wed., March 15. Members will travel to Winnipeg on Mon., March 13. The lobby days will conclude by 4:30 p.m. on March 15. The room block will be extended to those required to stay overnight on March 15, checking out on March 16.
