The National Workshop for Aboriginal Steelworkers will build upon the success of the 2015 Winnipeg Consultation Workshop and on the Aboriginal session at the Montreal 2016 National Policy Conference.
The Edmonton workshop will lay the groundwork for our union to deepen our commitment and make more concrete our work to Recognize, Accept, and Support our Aboriginal members. When Aboriginal Steelworkers share their experiences, needs, and ideas, we can find new action strategies for union locals and for the union nationally that will contribute to reconciliation and at the same time build a stronger union.

- USW members of Aboriginal ancestry (First Nations, Inuit and Métis)
- USW local leadership (officers or stewards) of locals with Aboriginal members
