The USW District 3 Women of Steel Network is an opportunity for all sisters to connect with other sisters within their local and across Western Canada. This is not a committee and open to all sisters to join.
The Network can help address issues that affect working women. Being able to discuss issues women face in day-to-day tasks or at the workplace with others that can relate or have similar experiences can help build camaraderie and solidarity.
The issues and topics discussed on the Network will not always be union related and sisters can contribute whether it is workplace related, political, informative, or creative. Bringing sisters together to have open discussion is why we are developing the Women of Steel Network.
The Network will utilize a private Facebook Group and only members can see who’s in the group and what is posted. You can participate from the comfort of your own home or on your breaks, and attend any speaker events or group chats in sweatpants!
