In the face of natural and human-made disasters, the Steelworkers Humanity Fund (SHF) has been providing essential assistance such as food, shelter, and healthcare to those in need, both in Canada and across the globe. From earthquakes to hurricanes to wars, USW members from across the country, through their important contributions to the SHF, have demonstrated unconditional solidarity for now close to forty years. As we collectively confront more crises and the escalating challenges posed by global warming, let us remember the profound impact of our collective solidarity, compassion, and support in facing global challenges and building stronger, more resilient communities.
