NDP MP launches petition for better child care

February 7, 2014

It’s hard to put a price on the peace of mind that comes with knowing your child is well cared for when you go to work.

But for many families, quality child care is becoming increasingly unaffordable – up to $2,000 a month for a spot. That’s if you can find a spot at all.

For too long, federal governments have squandered billions on tax giveaways to corporations instead of helping families. Parents are left having to make difficult choices between working and staying at home.

Canadians deserve better.

NDP MP Jinny Sims has launched a petition calling for federal leadership on child care.

Please sign the petition, and then send the link to other USW members, friends, and family.
