Log booms on water

This year is an important one, politically, in British Columbia. There will be a provincial General Election and this spring will mark the election budget and provide the opportunity for the B.C. government to signal direction in key areas like critical minerals, forest policy as well as health care, education and affordability.

USW District 3 will be conducting a Forest Workers Summit, in conjunction with Unifor, on March 12, 2014.

B.C. Forest Workers Summit 2024

We will bring together union members from different unions, from all corners of the province and all areas of our forest sector to raise concerns about the crisis in the forest industry (mill closures, fibre supply, etc.) and to put forward a strong, proactive agenda that will support forest workers, our families and our communities in the future. We will be inviting Ministers and Government MLAs, as well as community and other supporters to participate. The Summit will take place at the Coast Victoria.

March 11, 2024 – Registration and Reception (Afternoon / Evening) – Coast Victoria
March 12, 2024 – Summit (All Day) – Coast Victoria
