This year is an important one, politically, in British Columbia. There will be a provincial General Election, scheduled for Oct 19, 2024, and this Spring will mark the election budget and provide the opportunity for the B.C. Government to signal direction in key areas like critical minerals, forest policy as well as health care, education and affordability.
USW District 3 will be conducting our Legislative Action Conference on April 10 and 11, 2024.
The conference will consist of classroom training to prepare members to meet with Ministers and MLAs to discuss important issues that impact the livelihoods of our members and workers in the province. Members will have the opportunity to visit the B.C. Legislature and there will be an evening reception with MLAs and other government officials and staff. The conference will take place at the Hotel Grand Pacific, as well as the B.C. Legislature.

Hotel:
A room block has been set aside at the Hotel Grand Pacific. Locals and their participants are responsible for booking their rooms with the hotel and all associated room costs.
