The International Union is bringing the 19th International Civil & Human Rights Conference to the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan from June 9-12, 2024.

We have witnessed historic events over the last five years that further the fight for civil and human rights, as well as events that set us back. We have a lot to discuss, and we have a lot of work to do. We will use our time together in Detroit to plan our work in the fight for dignity and respect for everyone, and seek a renewed commitment to work that plan with our conference theme – “I’ve Got the Movement in Me”.  Each of us is already empowered with the tools to help create a more just and equitable world, so everyone – every Union member – is encouraged to meet us in Detroit so that we can get moving.

Conference Registration and Fees

Registration is available on-line, by fax, or by mail.  The early bird registration fee is $250 per delegate for registrations received on or before April 15, 2024.  After April 15, 2024, the registration fee will increase to $275 per delegate.

Travel

In cooperation with Direct Travel, we have made special arrangements for delegates to book air transportation to the conference. Please call 877-499-1149 and select prompt “4” (group meetings). Please identify yourself as a participant in the 2024 International Civil & Human Rights Conference.  Please call between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday, or you will incur an after-hours fee of $16.00.

In accordance with our established policy, the International Union will not be responsible for the cost of delegate(s) participation.  The local union is responsible for all expenses, including airfare and hotel, for all delegates.

Conference Agenda

We have a lot of exciting things that are going to take place for this conference.

Registration will take place before the conference convenes on Sunday evening at 5:00 PM, June 9, 2024.  We will end our time together with a banquet on Wednesday evening June 12; everyone should plan to travel home no earlier than Thursday morning, June 13.
