Join us for a special evening bringing Steelworker members together to celebrate Diwali and recognize the important contributions of South Asian workers to British Columbia’s labour movement.
The evening will feature a fully catered Indian culinary buffet, drinks, a DJ and a live Bhangra performance.
We are also pleased to welcome the BC Labour Heritage Centre, who will give a special presentation on the History of South Asian Labour and the generations of workers who helped shape the labour movement in British Columbia.
Cultural attire is not required but is warmly encouraged for those who wish to take part in the spirit of the celebration.
REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Registration is limited to 200 people and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each USW Local 2009 member may register for themselves and one (1) guest. Register through Eventbrite.
Space is limited — register early to secure your spot!
Come enjoy an evening of great food, music, culture, history and solidarity with your Steelworker family.
In solidarity,
Aman Chumber, President
