Labour College of Canada Scholarships

Each year, the USW offers three full scholarships to members who are accepted into the Labour College of Canada.

The Labour College of Canada (LCC) Certificate Program is an English-language labour studies and leadership program of the Canadian Labour Congress. Local union leaders and active members engage in critical thinking and collaborative learning in a program that combines online and in-person learning over 14 months. Participants come from a diversity of unions and regions in the country and take in-depth, university-level courses on issues related to work and the rights of workers in Canada.

Learn more about the LCC Certificate Program and find the application form on the LCC web site:

USW Scholarships for the Labour College of Canada are awarded, one per district, to the first three Steelworker applicants admitted by the LCC in each calendar year. The LCC will inform Steelworker applicants about funding availability. (If no USW Scholarships remain in any calendar year, applicants may ask the LCC to be considered for the following year without having to resubmit their forms.)
