Pride 2021 Is Here!

June 4, 2021

Beginning in June and throughout the summer, Steelworkers across District 6 join our LGBTQ2SIA+ community to celebrate Pride 2021. The United Steelworkers union prides itself on being an inclusive organization and an ally to all equity-seeking communities.

This year we are once again celebrating Pride within restrictions dictated by the COVID-19 pandemic. While we may not be able to physically gather, our pride and solidarity remain strong. We celebrate the lives and accomplishments of our LGBTQ2SIA+ siblings, here and abroad. We also recognize there is still much work for us to do to achieve equity and fairness in our union and our workplaces and to build a truly equal society.

We at USW are committed to learning more as allies, and continuing our work.

To our siblings in District 6 and beyond – Happy Pride! We look forward to celebrating with you soon!

Marty Warren
District 6 Director
