$15 per day Childcare: Fairness For Families

April 30, 2015 | Misc. Resources

Too many families struggle to find decent childcare, and when they do, it’s expensive. Liberals promised national childcare in 1991 but never delivered during 13 years in power. Even Brian Mulroney promised a national childcare program in 1984. Stephen Harper promised 125,000 new spaces, but hasn’t created even one.

Affordable, safe quality childcare gives a strong start for our kids and our economy grows by more than $2 for every $1 invested. Quebec has 70,000 more women in the workforce since childcare was introduced. Unions support progressive policies like affordable childcare – for our kids, our families and our economy.

Affordable, quality childcare is only one election away. You can trust Tom Mulcair and the NDP to deliver affordable childcare for Canadian families.
