Alberta’s first-ever New Democratic Premier is a Woman of Steel. Rachel was a USW member in her previous job working for Alberta’s nurses’ union. A lifelong labour and social activist, Rachel led the NDP to a historic victory in the Alberta provincial election in May 2015.
