March 26, 2014

Creativity and enthusiasm enveloped the Sheridan Conference Centre in Hamilton, Ontario, today as delegates from USW Next Generation/Legends Symposium came together to build solidarity and launch the new D6Connect communication network.

Participants worked together to develop strategies for member engagement and actively took part in workshops on the optimal use of social and traditional media. In one of these workshops, local union leaders under took the creation of ‘headlines’ to communicate with their members about the D6Connect network.  Some of the outstanding suggestions include:

• D6Connect – Because Knowing Is Half the Battle
• USW At Your Fingertips/L’union au bout des doigts
• Facebook, Twitter, YouTube: Get It! Got It! Good!
