Anti-Violence Campaign 2016 – Let’s Stop Violence Against Women and Girls!

August 24, 2016

As part of USW’s commitment to end violence against women and girls, Steelworkers activists will be making presentations to local, area council, and other meetings this fall and winter. For this purpose, please visit usw.ca/anti-violence for useful documents and links.

We’ll engage members to send the message that violent attitudes and words, as well as acts, are harmful to women and girls. We’ll encourage local unions to take steps at the bargaining table and in the community, including organizing or attending events on October 4 (the National Day to Commemorate Missing and Murdered Aboriginal Women) and December 6 (the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women).

In this section, you will find many of the resources needed to make a presentation. To ensure that you have all the materials and resources necessary, please contact your district Women of Steel representative or the chair of your district or national-local Women’s Committee
