Through both ferrous and nonferrous mining, USW members supply industries with the raw materials they need to produce high-quality finished goods. These include iron ore, copper, nickel and other metals, as well as non-metals like gypsum, salt and soda ash.

We’re proud to promote responsible mining practices across our industries, especially as clean energy technology continues to require more mined materials.
