Larry has been a labour, political and social justice activist his entire adult life. He has been a tireless fighter for the rights and interests of union members and all working people. He has been particularly committed to workers’ health and safety and human rights and equity issues, with a proven record of advocacy and engagement in the LGBTQ2SIA+, anti-racism and peace movements.

The USW looks forward to working with Larry as part of a strong, dedicated and experienced leadership team at the CLC that will revitalize the house of labour, mobilize, engage and build unity within the grassroots membership, and bring positive, progressive change for workers and all those facing unfairness and injustice.

The USW also has previously endorsed Team Unite – Bea Bruske, Lily Chang and Siobhan Vipond – for election to the three other CLC officer positions: President, Secretary-Treasurer and Executive Vice-President, respectively.
